Beautifully lit and very nicely positioned in the frame, almost symmetry...lovely focus stacking too, love the colour at the background, almost an alien face...the detail is superbly captured...

what more do you want to do or what kind of critique do you want...

Hello Khalid, welcome to ePHOTOzine, I see that you joined us this month. I hope you are enjoying it here, and finding it useful. There is a lot here beside the galleries - forums, reviews, articles, groups, competitions...

For this upload you ticked the critique box, I hope that was intentional. It means that you waive the chance of votes and awards, but you invite more detailed comment. I am not a macro photographer, but there are some excellent ones on the site and I hope that they will find this.

Two points:

It helps if you let us know more. In particular we need to see the Exif data, details of the lens and the camera settings. Focal length, ISO, aperture (F number), shutter speed, white balance setting, how you set the camera (manual, aperture priority etc... ); any special techniques used eg stacking. Details of any significant processing. Basically as much information as possible about how you achieved the image.

You can edit the upload to add the missing information, or add it here in the Comments section. I am guessing that you used Save for web, which strips the data from the file - we do ask that uploaders to the Critique Gallery avoid using this.

And secondly, what critique are you looking for? Advice on taking, on processing? Are you satisfied with the image? What does it say for you?

To my untutored eye it looks excellent and your two previous uploads have picked up a good collection of user awards. This would do well in the main gallery.

And welcome from me, too, Khalid!

A very, very high quality image, combining flawless technique (as far as I can tell - it's way outside my area of competence!) and a great sense of what makes a graphic image.

Lovely work. The full eXIF data may have been lost in combining the stacked images, I think. Please, as Moira asks, add that - one of the things that the Critique Gallery is good for is showing others what they need to do to get similar results.

Thank you for posting!

Welcome from me too Khalid.
Would be good for us to know a little more as Moira has suggested above.
For instance and just to add to her questions, how many images did you stack, what focal length did you use and how did you process this very detailed image ?
Would be great to have just a little more insight to your image.

Hello, Khalid.

I have been very impressed by your two previous uploads of insects' heads, and even gave both of them a well deserved User Award. I think this would do just as well in the main gallery.

Answering the questions above will be helpful to critiquers. Otherwise, it's difficult to know what sort of critique you want.
