Antler Antics

By SteveMoulding
A Red Squirrel gnawing away at what looks to be a Fallow Deer's antler. I assume it must be a great source of minerals to keep him fit and healthy and give him that beautiful shiny coat.

Many thanks for all your votes and comments and a special big thank you to 'Herge88' for his user award, very much appreciated.

Thanks for looking and I hope you like this one.

Have a great week,

I have heard small animals devour antlers for the minerals which is why is so hard to find intact antlers. Love the color and detail in this image, great capture, PattiSmile
