We went to a friend's annual open garden this afternoon (in between showers!) and I spied this beauty growing in a very shady area - it must be one of the last this year. I have tweaked the levels and sharpened slightly but other than this it is as captured. I would like to dedicate this one to Ronnie who captures the most beautiful floral images and whose recent comments have been a great help!

Thanks to everyone for your continued support and comments.

A beautiful image. Perhaps I would have cloned out the unopened flower in the top RH corner which is a tad distracting.

Thanks Albert, I wanted the image to appear as taken, however I can see what you mean and have uploaded a V2 for you!

The sharpness is amazing. Don't know if you used a tripod.
The natural image was good but more pleasing without the bud.
Clear distinction between white and cream - very well captured Carol.

Such excellent details and colours in this floral image. It's not easy deciding sometimes between "real" and what pleases someone's eye! I rather like V1 but this time have to agree that removing the bud has made a difference to the comp.

Pleased to click this lovely shot to 30.
I do prefer the V2 without the other flower bud.

A very beautiful and detailed capture, Carol, and think V2 works better with the distractive bud cloned out Wink

Holy cow...the detail and exposure are AWESOME, Carol.

Now I tend to not clone out things but I have to say that V2 does work better here.
