Archie Jackson

By AlleyCatz
Good morning to you all Smile

Cats and dogs here....but might make a few shrooms grow.

This is my twin sister's Weimaraner "Archie".
As you can see he is a very pampered pooch...even more than her husband! (sorry Richard) Archie is getting on in years and is 10 now....recently he has been very poorly and had to go under the vets knife. You can see on his f/g leg a shaved patch. He seems to be recovering and has gained weight. Some people do not realise how cherised and loved a pet can be to someone and what a testing time it is when they get ill and need to have an operation. My sister really liked the last hdr treatment on my gardeners bothy image so we thought we would try to do one of Archie as he slept after his walk...The tired old boy.

Five images at 0.7 EV intervals combined in Photomatix and then tweaked in PS.

Thanks for stopping by,much appreciated Smile

C&C always welcomed

Large probably better if you have the time, thanks.

Gorgeous dog Alley and suitably captured too. The HDR has worked fabulously here and brought out soooooo much detail ... like it Wink

Know what you mean about how cherished pets are, I'm a wreck when Cleo has to have an op too.

Excellent Alison, and you're very welcome.

You need to try this with Mika but you would need to catch him fast on to be able to fire off five shots!

one of my favourite doggies.... I totaly agree with you about how cherished they become, they really are part of the family. Youve done some excellent button pressing here young madam as the tone mapping is excellent, in fact I'd go as far as to say it nearly looks as though it was taken with a Canon.....Wink

I'm not a great dog lover, but the HDR treatment is first class. The brightly coloured blanket provides a nice bit of colour contrast too.
