Many thanks for your Votes and comments on yesterdays dip into my Rome archive.
and thanks to Ju for the Award. All much appreciated.
Three more today. The lead and V1 are slightly less common views of Castel St Angelo,
both taken from a boat on the river Tiber.
V2 is the path leading to The Piazza del Campidoglio. At the summit of the Capitoline Hill,

The 'steps' in v3 are very suitable for a slow, steady uphill plod without the need to lift your feet more than on a normal walk.
Imposing buildings, indeed, Dave.

I forgot to mention the couple plodding up the hill, closest to the camera.
Steve and Ruth, our friends and travelling companions. Thought i'd give them
a credit, they do feature in quite a few of the archive images. Smile

Rome is a place I should really visit, as an avid historian. The trouble is that I've long been in love with Paris, Berlin and St Petersburg so have to spread my favours around too thinly already Blush
I'm enjoying this series nevertheless, Dave; thanks for sharing your enjoyment.

A lovely set of images which provide refreshing views and perspectives on 'familiar' landmarks. We've only been to Rome once so the 'familiarity' is not ours but postcards, illustrated guides and TV images provide fairly stock views of these landmarks so these are hugely enjoyable for their freshness ... and that distinctive sense of quality which is the hallmark of the 'mistere' brand !!! Yesterday's was a cracking shot as well - sorry I don't think I commented ... hope I voted ... SmileSmileSmile
The lead image is my choice the buildings are beautiful I like the enclosed feel and the tents by the water
