Ardvrek Castle

By AnnChown
Ardvrek Castle, the icon on the shores of Loch Assynt in Sutherland with Quinag, cloud covered, behind. Comments and/or criticisms are welcome.
My exciting news is that yesterday I was in Bath attending an LRPS Assessment Day where I submitted a panel which was accepted - so lots of relief and lots of excitement! At Danny's request, my panel is attached as v2; all the images are on my epz portfolio.
Also - thank you all for your comments on Burning the Heather, and many thanks to all of you who gave your UAs - I was blown away with your enthusiasm! Smile

A beautifully composed image Ann. The rather imposing ruins taking centre stage whilst the pin sharp peaks add both depth and further interest to the wonderful Highland scene.

Well done with your LRPS Assessment, your chosen images are both varied and very well produced.

Congratulations on getting your LRPS it is a varied and well deserving panel of fine work. I have considered many times trying for it myself but cannot convince myself that I can produce a panel good enough.

Congratulations Anne - I also have a few shots of the castle from my recent visit. Despite its proximity to the road my visits were largely untroubled by people. This is a very detailed shot showing the Quinag very well in the background - it was covered in snow on my way home on Saturday but sadly the camera was packed away by then.
