"Are you sure he's taking us to the Grand Canal?"

Back to a bit of digital faffing. I created a similar image which I uploaded to EPZ some time ago, but with a different gondola, and a different canal (in Hebden Bridge). So, to pass some time on thought I'd use the same idea with other images.
The gondola was shot on a foggy Boxing Day in Venice in 2018, and the background is the Leeds-Liverpool Canal, running here alongside the western end of Leeds' railway station, which is over to the right.
I've included the original gondola image as a version, which shows it was actually on the Grand Canal! I did think the shadow of the gondola looked better as I've created it, to match the same time of day as the background.

Raw images processed in Adobe Camera Raw, tweaked in Nik Collection's plugins and Photoshop Elements 2020.

What a great idea. Gondolas on English canals GrinGrin. Not sure how they would cope with the locks though !
Very convincing image especially the appropriate clothing for our climate, but the setting looks better on the Grand Canal

Great shot and processin! Other than the gondola clue, it is hard to tell which is the original. He would probably struggle to touch the bottom with the pole though!
