Armadillo

Many thanks for all the kind words and votes for my last image. Also for the much appreciated user awards. It's such a buzz when someone else likes your photos!

This image was taken in Texas a couple of years ago. I've only ever seen a dead armadillo before. In South America they turn their bodies into little guitars!

It was very cold whilst I was there and as they don't often come out in the daytime I was very lucky to catch a brief glimpse of this lithe guy.

Wow , amazing and prehistoric looking creatures. I think these fellows curl up into balls when/ if they feel threatened . Stellar capture of him at the watering hole.
