Armstrong's favourite

By javam
Another one from Saturday's Flying Legends display at Duxford, the Grumman Bearcat.

When Neil Armstrong was asked what was his favourite aircraft to fly he respond the Bearcat.

With a big engine and even bigger (12' 4") prop, it is strangely proportioned thing, but one of the best performing prop war birds and still a favourite for air racing as a result.

Thanks for stopping by.

Neil

Thanks Laurel. Ah yes, I guess 16mm is a bit of a giveaway! Wink My EPZ template seems to have some pentax exif embedded in it, I will see if I can resolve.

Thanks also Jim and Ron for your comments. the weather had its moments on Saturday Ron, but as long as it is not flat grey or flat blue I will take it!

Thanks again.
