Welcome to EPZ Stephen.

This sort of scene has loads of potential with the patterns and textures in the mud as the tide goes out. The boat marooned in the middle of it all adds that extra element of interest. But to get a memorable pic you have got to get down in amongst it. Or at least get the other side of the barrier. At the moment the barrier acts as just that - a barrier to getting into the pic. You will see a great improvement in your shots if you are willing to push things just that little bit further.

Good luck with your photography and I hope you enjoy the site.

Cath has said it all ...as you get more into your photography you'll learn to go the extra mile, walk round the next corner, stoop or lie down low, crouch in the mud, lie down if you have to, and never just take the first shot that you see

Welcome to EPZ indeede, stick aroud and enjoy, and you'll learn a load as well

Just a quick mod. Not the best of clone jobs but might give some idea of what it would look like without the barrier.
