Around the World in 28 days- Thailand

By ColleenA
Ko Samui is known as the Thai Playground...white beaches, Waterfalls, Temples, Local Fishing boats, Temples, monkeys and coconut plantations...
Ko (Thai for island) Samui is Thailands third largest island, but even then it only measures 13 miles long and 9 miles across. Travellers flock here to soak up the sun and swim in the sea and dine till well into the night on prawns the size of pickles.
The backbone of the islands economy besides tourism is their coconut plantations. The real climbing and gathering of the coconuts is left to agile trained monkeys that sea,per up and down the trees plucking coconuts as they go.
Many thanks for your votes and comments, and to Jos and Jukka for their user awards...sorry I am not getting to vote on every image this week as have GE duties which are taking up a lot of time
Have a great day...
