Arrochar

By juldon
On our way up to Lewis we stayed over night and took the scenic route up.

This is Arrochar and Loch Long, as you can see the weather was not that good to us. But I tried.
Probably suffer cos of the darkness in the thumbnails but I quite like the reflections hope you do.

Thanks for taking the time to look.

Just put this on the laptop and the colours dont look half as good as they do on my calibrated monitor Sad maybe thats why its not doing so good.

well, you know I'd always prefer the ND grad effect to moody up the sky a bit, but it's a lovely shot Julie. A nice bit of reflection on the water....I always mean to stop at Arrochar but never seem to have time.Good job you were not a week later as the road has been closed for over a week now because of a major landslide!

OOOps! Playing catch up here Julie!!
Would like to spend some time around Loch Long myself sometime as my Father's tanker anchored there sometime during WW2 after a three week game of dodging U-boats!! Like this view with the patterns on the hillside and the reflections. Contrary to that daughter o'mine, I like the sky in this. Together with everything else, it helps give the laid back, lazy feeling that you get away from the mad crowds, to whom time is money and they will always be poor as they "have no time to stand and stare."
