Arts and Crafts 3

Chancel window, St Georges's Church, Jesmond. Unlike the windows near the font the chancel windows are high up; I rather miscalculated the amount of perspective correction necessary and have just clipped the top of the arch. I was not prepared to start climbing on pews, however!

Thanks to all my many visitors yesterday, and to Helen, Joline, Dave and Sue for their valued awards.

I like the trees. Makes a change from the usual torture effigy.

The trees seem to have seen better days. Have they been sacrificed? Do they denote something significant?

Rather like me, Bill, if I know I'm going to need to correct verticals always take a bit more in, but often not quite enough!! 😬 These really are beautiful windows, and again, perfectly exposed 👍

Beautiful stained glass windows set-off with the two stunted trees. I wonder what their significance is?

Oh Bill, you are spoiling me with this beautiful glass. How I would love to see it in person.
The trees are an interesting feature, but the window doesn't need any embellishment. Do you know who the artist was that designed these wonderful art nouveau pieces?

Aside from the trees, this is a well made bit of glass and image!
