At The Head

Just had a lovely week up in the Western Lakes in Cumbria. On Sunday I was joined by my friend Pete and we trundled uphill alongside Lingmell Beck.. with the intention of checking out some falls at Piers Gill. The Rug was not up to it though so we never made it to the destination.. poor old lad suffering with his hips..its an age thing!

Anyway.. we stopped at some cascades and this is looking back from those cascades towards Wasdale. (The pub is round the corner!!)

Very well composed and balanced Lakeland landscape with a degree of symmetry that's so pleasing on the eye. The wide angle setting and small aperture has achieved immaculate detail at all levels.
