I had 'colour' trouble with a large container of flowers on a village green. A sunny day, strong colours, predominantly purples and the camera (5D2 at the time) rendered them horribly, took a lot of tweaking in Canon DPP to get them to look anything like they looked to my eye. Wondered if there was some interference from UV or InfraRed that I couldn't see but that was strong enough to affect the camera.

Purples can be troublesome for cameras, perhaps certain shades of red are too. Apart from that, is there a colour tint in the paint on your ceiling?

In my case I wondered if it was a problem caused by saturation of the red channel. White ceiling and pale colour walls (green) but I really don't think that's the problem. I seem to recall yanking sliders all over the place to coax a decent image out of the raw file but I forget the details now. Need to take more photos as a reminder!
