Atlantic Puffin

By rawshooter
Hi all.

Many thanks for your V&Cs on yesterday's upload 'Chase is on', all much appreciated.

I couldn't wait to upload today's image of an Atlantic Puffin which is my very 1st capture of one and, the only one I saw at Bempton Cliffs yesterday Smile
Sex unknown as you can only identify male from female when together due to males being slightly larger.
They often live up to 20 years old and usually pair for life. They don't breed until approx 5 years old and usually with the same mate each year. They lay lay just one egg per season and return to the same nest site and nest each year.
Looking forward to going back later and try to capture them with fish in beak as they return to feed their young Smile

Hope you like.
Kev..
