Atomic Whisk

By pepperst
Braved the evil studio again today to bring your more from my underwhelming series of household objects.

Set the lights up, but didnt use flash. Got the tungstun look via ps.

Went close up because I wanted to get a look of atoms buzzing around in circles, btw physics not my special subject but I hope you see what I was looking for.

Please crit away, if you have never crited before do so here for practise!

Love this! Very creative... visionary even!

Well done!

Very clever idea. I suppose from a scientific point of view the nucleus would be in focus and the electrons would be more fuzzy, as they are buzzing around......... well you did encourage critique.

Photographically, I thing it's brilliant.

Excellent image, the DOF creates a good abstract, like the colours it almost looks mono

This sort of shot was bound to cause a stir, i think this will whisk up a frenzy of votes, good abstract, difficult to beat.....

Groan,,,, even i think that was cheesey. As mentioned the control over the depth of field completes this shot adding "movement" to the Nucleus. Well taken.

I might have got a little lower to get the handle bit almost the centre of the nucleus with the electrons buzzing round, love the mode effect though!

I like the fact that they are not centralised, thats what everybody would do. Smile

Nice depth of field with the most important feature being sharp.

Great lighting and crop, makes for an interesting image. Not sure if it could be used as a product shot but maybe in the right circumstance.

Definately can see an improvement and a lot of thought has gone into the making of this image.

Well done you.

Makes an interesting abstract image, like the colouring and the dof.
