attumn on Pennypack Creek--Reflections #8

By handlerstudio
The bike ride through Pennypack Park is about 8 1/2 miles long, from the edge of Montgomery County to the Delaware River. One of my favorite bike rides, about a 30 mile roundtrip from my back door. Usually I ride with a friend. And, riding, or driving, with someone else who is not a photographer, can sometimes be frustrating for the great photos that we wheel past (on two wheels or four). So, I had a feeling, with the leaves here being, maybe, just past peak, but really good, that I needed to do this alone. There were spots where I would ride only a few hundred feet, and stop for another photo.

Beautiful, a great capture. May I respectfully suggest turning the whole image 180 deg.

I know how frustrating it can be as my Wife is no photographer, but I have to take her otherwise I would have to carry my equipment, a cracking capture once again Peter and all would be worthy of a wall portrait.

Yes, I think photography is a lone activity--It seems to bore ones companies--
The colors here are wonderful!

I may soon post some creek abstracts of "the bridge."

A fantastic oil painting type abstract again adn the exclusion of the far bank just enhances that. My wee suggestion would be to clone or crop out the leaf in the bottom left corner as its colour, shape and sharpness are distracting my eye from the overall effect. I bet this will look great as a large print.

I thought about cropping out the grasses at the bottom left and decided to leave it in as a "real"//reflection contrast, essentially to have one, small element that is not reflection. It perhaps could be a stronger photo only as reflection.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I think your selection of the last few days has been out standing.
Sorry I have not been able to comment on them all.
The textures and colours are most unusual and delight to the eye.
Cleverly done……………..WinkWinkWink
Following you progress on your latest capture I think that you have improved it with broadening the picture
and improving the tonal range. Your processing on this is of merit and of cause there are lots of ways to improve it.
Well done Peter.
