Aurora in Finland

By Tissynoho
I will always remember the 1st March 2012. From 20.30hrs that evening, the skies lit up with the Aurora Borealis. So I have been informed, the red colours are rare. The Aurora went from one horizon to the other, moving very quickly too. I used a tripod, a must with this event. Some people had large SLR's and no tripod! I did lend mine out the second night, but the display was a lot weaker and greens only. This night was ticked off my wife's bucket list. So spectacularly too.

Not only an amazing and beautiful sight/capture, but what an unusual and lovely colour too.
