The weather in May 2013 screwed up my plans while traveling on the Gibb River Road (see earlier up-loads of the series) as we weren't able to access all the places we wanted.
At the very end of the trip, we wanted to spend a few days at Broome Bird Observatory but the road was closed. Luckily, on our very last day in Australia, the road opened so we managed to spend our last night in that magical place. When/if I go back to Broome, I'll definitely go back there.
If you’ve watched Coast Australia, in the first programme, they visited Roebuck Bay looking for the wrecks of flying boats destroyed during World War II by the Japanese.
