AUTOGRAPHIC

Low Key probably means it will vanish into the thumbnail mist but it is my favourite type of lighting. I will watch old movies and totally miss the story while I watch the lighting, although in this case the inspiration for the lighting came from a car advert that I cant remember the make.

In this case its a cold 30 lumen LED to create the pool of light at the base and an adapted 20 lumen LED to paint the camera over 10 seconds.

Oh and its a Kodak 3A Autographic Jr, made some time between 1918 and 1927.

First day time photo uploaded in a long time.

One of your best stills, simple and strong, the low key gets your eyes wandering around the image. Bet it looks even better in print

I've become a big fan of low key lighting - that's pretty damn fabulous. Hope nothing blows away in the storms!

Drove across Woodhead tonight, there were loads of trees uprooted from Wednesday's storm, and had to extract a trampoline out of the greenhouse.
