Hello everyone, hope you're all well Smile

Still quite busy and still increasing my backlogs on the site, heh, hope to be able to sort this out this week. Had another quick session at my window the other day, hope it won't look so worn out like Pauline's (exposure) famous chair soon :o
Yes, I shot this against the light, haven't straightened it vertically, and left the face unseen, deep in the shadow... but I like it as it is!
Any thoughts much welcomed. Smile

Apologise for loads of missing comments, I wish I had more time for them

Oh, and this one really works better large. Smile

I love it, very clever work but would have liked a touch of light on the face,

Great air of mystery. I agree with Phil that it would be nice to have a little detail in the face

A little maybe but not a lot. The rose, hair and shoulder work for me. Definite less-is-more image.
like it as is. Pretty much outstanding work really

I would prefer a little more light on the face but then again it wouldn't be a milla shot.
Prefer V1.

Glad you've mentioned this, Ian, that's my new dress and I'm not getting these too often (I know, I'm nothing like the English women, really not too found on shopping, lol). Wink
I thought some will like that you can'tsee my face, some won't, for these who don't got another shot from this session incoming, with face better lit than this Smile

Thanks for the comments, as always appreciated.

love the mystery without the face, but I like my imagination to work, with your images it always does Smile

V2 is cool too but I always prefer the darkside to the light Smile

PS..actually they are both unique in their own ways

When I first looked at this I wasn't sure whether I liked it or not. It just seemed too dark. But the darkness sort of grew on me, so I'm won over. Well done on an unmistakably Milla shot!

Just thinking about you, and I see you're briefly back in EPZ land (thanks for the comments) so a quick pop over to your PF to see what's new.

Funny but I only look at your stuff in the dark these days .... they don't work in daylight ... too much ambient light. Never more true than with this one either. It's a shame the thumbnail is so dark as it's seemingly put people off from looking.

But the more you look the more you see, and as Lucy says this is a definite grower. V1 is certainly my favourite version, and my initial thought was "more light needed on the face". But now I don't think so ... it's an intriguing image and I swear that as I've looked at it your features are resolving from out of the darkness. Probably my brain just painting in the face, that or you use those special Polish magic pixels Wink

Yes, I like it and the longer I look the more I like it.

And again, many thanks everyone Smile

Yeah, you're both right, Lucy and Dave, these kinda images only really work if they get enough time, and the darker, the better for them. They actually should be printed out as the slides, because it's like they're meant to be seen: dark room and a projector, that is.
Thanks for giving them your time you all Smile

This time, I prefer #2 which looks and feels autumn to me, but then again, I am no expert. Once again, I am in awe of what you produce!

I agree entirely with Lucy and so glad I gave it a bit more time to take effect.
I love the subtle details here; the story it tells, the feeling of being watched and the emotion from the rose; #1 for me - I like the warmth of #2 but it loses the rose too much.
