Autumn acer

By oldgreyheron
Perhaps the start of a mini series associated with red in my garden at this time of year - we shall see!

These two leaves on the same snake bark maple tree demonstrate the magnificence of nature at this time of year. Image taken yesterday - busy weekend taking son Andrew to university (a bit stressful too!)

Regards to all,
Mike

What interesting fringing on the leaves of that species. I love the contrast of the colors, too.

Hi Mike
Excellent shot, colors are just great.
Could you have achieved this effect with b&w shot?
Iíve read your doubts about whether to choose colorful photos or colorless.
I believe, Mike, it's all about what you feel, your emotions .
Your heart will always give you the best advice whether the photo should be color of black and white.
For me b&w is yesterday's news, I have always been fond of a wide variety of colors and enjoyed them even without much enhancing them in software.
Cheers
George

Thank you George - I think that I lean in your direction concerning colour. I experiment with B&W because people suggest it - I remain uncomfortable but will probably continue to dabble.

This would grace anyone's wall! Love that layering, dark bg & shadow Smile
