Autumn colours

By brownsilent
Hi everybody,
Sunday afternoon we went for a walk in the young Danube valley, one of our favourite places here. The autumnal colours were brilliant and with the fine October weather we had, our walk was very pleasing.
Two of the many pictures I took - and one from an "Straw-sculptures" exhibition we visited. Every year, after the harvest work is done, young and old from a town above the Danube valley make these fantastic sculptures.

Hope you enjoy the pictures, don't feel shy to comment - your comments are very welcome!

Have a great day,
Johanna

Good pics of what looks like a lovely area Johanna - the critter in vers.3 looks part crocodile, part squirrel, and two parts boiled egg....Bill

Love the figure Johanna and the colours of Autumn, not so sure about the horizon, falling over. It's a problem I have with my glasses.

Dougie, I must be feeling a bit better.

Autumn seems tyo be well advanced in your part of the world Johanna. Ours is very spotty this year, some trees like yours, some already bare (mostly the ones surrounding my property Smile) some very colourful, and many still green. As to V3, where would we be without artists?

All 3 lovely Jo, but may I suggest that you try doing the shadow on the borders slightly different. Instead of an almost equal amount of shadow all round, try placing it to one side as a shadow would fall naturally. Sounds picky but I think it would improve the presentation.
Regards,
Geoff.
