Back To Padley

Originally I was going to go the Black Clough today but didn't fancy going up there on my own as I have heard it is a little treacherous so i ended up at Padley Gorge instead. I am still finding my way around longer exposures but I did learn one lesson today, if you are around water and slippy rocks be very careful because about half an hour after this was shot I had a little stumble and my camera smashed into a rock. My camera is ok but my lens is broke and I have a bruise on my shin!Sad
Thanks to Brian and Mike for the UA's and to everyone else for their c&c's.

Bad news about the lens Ryan !! Luckily your camera survived !! This is really a lovely image - very well taken !
Lovely image with algae on the rock surfaces. Enchanting waterfall perfectly captured. Pity your lens needed to be sacrificed shortly after this image.

What a beautiful serene image. It does look treacherous. Sorry to hear about your smashed lens and sore shin...Maybe a lesson to all of us to walk with our camera in a rucksack. Well captured

You seem to be doing well with your long exposures, Ryan. Since I'm not a waterfall expert, I find this very pleasing. I'm a bit worried about that poor old tree on the left, which looks about to be uprooted. What a shame you had such a bad experience when at Padley, hope the shin isn't too painful.

Excellent colour and atmosphere. It's too dark for me in those woods i was not too far away on Higger Tor, sorry to hear about your leg and lens Ryan looks as though you've dropped your bottle as well ! but hey, any excuse to buy a new lens.

Sorry to hear about your lens - is it insured?
A great image though with beautiful light and good long exposure for the water.

It is all not completely lost for my lens as it still works but it cannot zoom in. I'm not too worried though as it is insured (I think!Tongue)
