Lovely colours but I find the stem across the top corner too heavy. I've taken the liberty of modifying it. Hope you like it.

Ah, yes, Andy - I was wondering who might bring that up. That stem had me in doubt - as to whether to leave it in or not. I can see why you wanted it gone - thanks for the modification.

And thanks, everyone, for the nice comments.

I was about to do exactly the same, cleaner comp.
But you cannot do that without the basic GOOD image!! (*:*)

As well as Andy's modification, how about rotating it 90degrees clockwise ? Then the leaf will appear to be supporting the flower rather than pushing it down. I would also suggest making the background a little bit lighter.

I like the way you have lit it though !

Beautiful lighting and colour but prefer Andy's version without the extra leaf which is what I would have done as a modification but have had trouble getting on line today.

Thanks, everyone. Those who made suggestions, may be interested in my new upload of today - I took most suggestions on board (not all, but most).

What a delicate shot, the lighting gives it a real transluscent feel. Border works well too Jane
