I'm back! Well, sort of. Yesterday was Farndale Sheep Sale which brings to an end winter's work. It has seemed a long one this time because of the six weeks of snow at the end of 2010 but the new year brought mild weather, the sheep thrived and our crop of lambs this year are excellent.
This is one such lamb, who stood and stared, wondering why I was laid on the ground, for long enough to enable me to get just about everything right. I lightened the area around his eyes with a curves layer and also did an overall curve adjustment, then sharpened for upload and that was it. I hope you like it, I love the way the middle of his ears are made translucent by the setting sun behind.
I will try and get around to commenting on a few images this evening. A huge thank you to JanieB43
for her UA for 'Sea of Mist IV', my sincere apologies for not thanking you before now. Lambing time really does demand all my attention, it is incredibly hard work and the hours are ridiculously long but the satisfaction of seeing a little guy like this one larking about in the sunshine beats most things I have done in my life. My apologies also to phil99
for not being in touch. I will rectify that in the next couple of days.
I hope you all had a fab weekend and thanks for dropping by.
