Bald Eagle in the Wild 3

One of a series taken recently in Alberta. On a quiet road we came on a roadkill deer carcass - unlucky for the deer, but not for this magnificent bald eagle. A quick turnaround, cautious approach, & he/she allowed a memorable set of images.

Great shot of this bald eagle. I,have often wondered what this country would have been like if we had made, as Ben Franklin had wanted, the turkey our national symbol.
