Baltic Frost

By James_C
Baltic Frost makes the turn round West Bramble buoy yesterday. The wind was blowing Force 7 against an ebb tide. The Harbourmaster is in the flat water created by the ship as it turns. Earlier in the day when the tide was in flood, the shape of the Isle of Wight meant the sea off Cowes was flat inspite of a gust of 72 knts being recorded at The Needles just 14 miles away.

Thank you for looking. I hope you enjoy what you see.

The little boat looks almost like a toy here. Good image.

A fine 'action' shot of her, James. The pilot boat dwarfed by her.

Nice bit of Nautical drama.
The Hurst castle ferry goes from Keyhaven 3 times an hour all through the summer 4th July to 1st November daily.
