Bamboo Bridge

By arhab
I like the bridge, but the background I think crowded. So, what do you think? Thanks.

The bridge doesn't look too safe to walk on, Muhamad, but the construction is interesting.
I like the way you have filled the foreground with the bamboo, but would like to see at least the first/bottom line straight.
The bridge has a lot of potential for a photographer, and I wonder if you took some shots of it at an angle rather than central like this one?
You ask about the background, and I agree that it is a bit fussy, but my eye did stay on the bridge and ran all along it. The light that you captured on the bridge structure helps hold the attention there. Of course, in an ideal world, there would be something magnificent at the end, but the house will have to do. I think you need that background, the picture might look a bit odd if the bridge just finished at the top of the frame. It's quite dark in the background area, whereas the bridge and water are quite bright, so I don't think it's too much of a problem.
Do you think the sky is necessary? The image does need some background, but I'm not sure it needs the sky. However, the balance that you have here is good, with about a third background and two thirds bridge on the vertical. I'm just thinking that, without the sky, you would have a less cluttered background, and that seems to be what concerns you.
I have done a modification where I straightened the bottom bamboo log, cropped the top (still unsure about that), used a simple Smart Photo Fix to enhance the contrast and colours, and also to darken the background a touch more. I cleaned up the background as much as I could and also removed a few bits and pieces off the foreground of the bridge. I then did a small levels adjustment. I still think the bridge is a bit too central, but I feel that was your intention.
Pamela.

Yes Pam, I am confused with the background because the background is not good and crowded. I am thinking if I need the sky or not, finally I included.
The mod is clear for me Pam, thank you.

And you are right the bridge is not safe, truely the bridge is broken. before broke I usually cross the bridge using my motorcycles. Smile

Regards.

The bridge is the subject and makes a great photo. Maybe some human interest in the water maybe ie kids splashing etc?
