Still going through a self-enforced no landscape phase..

So, another of my favourite types of photography - b+w street scenes. This was taken in Temple Bar, Dublin this week. Walked around for ages looking for something like this.
Wasn't until I worked on this today that I noticed the smoke trail above his head which I rather like.

Many thanks for looking.
Cheers, Paul

Great image. I would love to take this type of picture, but I'm a bit nervous of wandering around with a camera in public places.
Do you always use and SLR, or sometimes something a bit more discrete?

Nic - I nearly always use Gradient Map for my conversions and then lots of layering to adjust the contrast with Curves and Levels.

A very realistic street photograph with keeping the vital space between subject and photographer which brings a + as the subject seems to be not desturbed while he's dealing with his cigar in an atmosphere so well captured.A very inspired title and congratulations on EC.

Just looking through your folio, this was one that stood out, I think your right in not just doing the landscape stuff.

Urban /people work is more challenging

Really excellent portfolio.
