Welcome to EPZ Robin.

A really nice shot. I love that gorgeous soft background, and the warm Sun tones.

No major suggestions, some small ones: reduce burn on the leading edges of the wings and side of the face, - with Photoshop use the burn tool; consider cropping to move the Owl away from dead centre.

Ive uploaded a mod to show what I mean, - scroll up and click the modifications tabe, then click the mod and view large.

Enjoy the site.

Thanks all for the comments much appreciated Smile

Hi banehawi, thank you for your critique on the image I have done another version of it. Is there an option for me to replace this image whilst maintaining the comments?

Hi Robin and welcome. Yes you can upload a version. Under the options drop down you will see upload a version. This will then allow you to add a second image to this page. The options tab is next to view normal and comments tab below the image and above your description. Wonderful shot and I would only concur with Willie's observations.

Wiilie's Mod, and your V2, give the owl space to fly into, that's crucial.

A shot to died for, beautiful bird and well photographed, have uploaded a mod but forget about it, after the upload and comparing the mod, Banehawi,s is the better mod I feel mind is a bit on the dark side.

Mike thanks for your comments, your modification seems to be good on the crop. I have probably giving too much space under the owl.

I would simply leave it alone.

I really like this capture, the background is lovely and impressive sharpness given the relatively narrow f-stop.

I probably would agree with banehawi about reducing the shadows a little on the owl itself to bring a little more of the beauty out.

In all though a fantastic capture

Fantastic shot. Did you handhold?
On the versions I can see that the first mod and your second version have more feather detail partic in the face.
