Have just finished fitting a new sink in the bathroom so am having a break.I have been appologising lately for being hit and miss but after finishing the concreting job at work i was going to have a break but on coming home Joan told me the boiler had been playing up on the hot water supply side it was thirteen years old so we decided to replace it ,then she decided that i could move it downstairs ,then she decided i could rip out the built in sink unit from the bathroom and replace it with a nice pedistal .22 mm copper pipe now costs £5-£6 per meter so i decided to shut down the system remove all the old piping and reuse it ,that left us with out hot water ,heating, sink and shower ,not bad now but two weeks back it was freezing.Anyway everything is up and running now, new combi boiler is a beauty 32k and loads of almost instant hot water with a high flow rate, saved a couple of hundred pounds on copper pipe and joints but doubled the work for me. Just the boxing in and cupboard building to do now and relaying the floor upstairs and reinsulating the loft spaces, all part of lifes rich tapestry,at least we can have a shower in between now.Keep well thanks for looking ,Neil Joan and Charlotte.

First class shot Neil, well worth the wait. I do not see any jesses on the legs, so take it this is a wild owl. All the more amazing if it is.
I got the workmen to do my boiler Grin. Otherwise, he would have decided to rebuild the house into the bargain. Plus the fact there would have been shots of me sailing down the hill as he would have flooded the joint!

A really first class image of this beautiful bird - the detail in the feathers is amazing. Learned a lot about boilers from your write-up into the bargain, so thanks for that Smile

What an absolute snorter Neil, superb work.
I feel for you, knowing all to well what a job like that entails. Old copper is such a pain to clean up.

All the best, and hope you are all keeping well.

You have been very busy elsewhere but this has not deterred you from capturing one of the best shots of a perched owl, Neil.
Looking straight down the lens too.
They really don't come much better than this.

I don't think I've ever seen an upload with so many UA's Neil, congratulations are certainly in order, not only for that, but in the fact they are so well deserved, maybe goes a wee bit to rewarding you for all your hard work, by the way you're being robbed with the price for copper pipe over there, nothing like that here, will check and let you know later!
Rgds., Jim
