Barn wood a plenty

By waltknox
This is the kind of wood I would love to frame prints with this summer . Just need to get to know a farmer or rancher I can source some from . For this shot I tried another setting on my Olympus called partial colour.
Some folks don't like the art settings for various reasons - still good fun to experiment with even if it might not be to everyone's taste . The gold highlights were a surprise once I saw it on the big screen at home.
Very pleased with the response to yesterdays upload , I have to say special thanks to John, Mike, Joline, Fred and Bernie for their cherished awards.

Partial color works well with the wooden structures Walt & that fabulous old wood, would indeed look great framing images. I'm not to keen on how it worked on the sky,but that's just my thinking. A solid composition & that old wagon looks good in this scene.

Cheers

I think the effect works well in this case, Walt. The old, weathered wood exudes an appealing warmth against the cold of the snow and bleak sky.

I think that has worked well, on a very good image in the first place.
It works perfectly Walt, the dark wood aginst the snow are a super contrast. The gold highlights are a lovely bonus. Pam
