Batenburg Beauty

By conrad
This won't be everybody's taste, I think it's too stark a composition for that, but maybe some of you will like it. I know I do...

Taken just outside one of my favourite villages - Batenburg, in the Netherlands, not so far from where I live myself.

I had to use Noiseware on this, because I'd forgotten to take the camera off it's previous high ISO setting. Duh!

Comments and mods welcome - tell me what you think, and why!

Thanks,

Conrad

I really love the way you've used the shape of the seedhead as an echo of the windmill (or is it the other way around?) Great idea and very well realised. All the best. Bruce

That was indeed the idea, Bruce. Thanks!

Well, I like it! Bruce put his finger on what makes this shot work so there's nothing left for me to say... ;-]

Another shot deserving of more comment, I like the juxtaposition of the seedhead and the windmill, very complimentary...cleverly planned.

Thanks, Leo - I did know it wouldn't be popular when I posted it, so I don't care about the minimal feedback, I'm just glad a few people appreciate it. Thanks!

Sometimes the really well thought out work fails to score much attention, it will always remain a mystery Conrad, so no use us trying to solve it LOL, much easier to spend our time producing images which WE like ourselves, then it's a bonus if others doSmile

Cheers...Leo
