Bathsheba Rocks #2

By RockArea
Once again this picture is taken from the beach at Bathsheba on the wild east coast of Barbados. It's low tide and you can see that the Atlantic rollers are coming in from an offshore swell, unusually late this year. The little beach hut has suffered more damage since I was last here. The square building on the horizon is the gaily painted Community Centre, complete with pictures showing features of the local community.

I really like the sky and the way the clouds mirror the land, building up to the right hand side.

I hope you enjoy this and are not getting too bored with my holiday snaps!

Do view LARGE if you can!

How could one get bored with images like that? It's always nice to see various parts of the world, even when you can't get to them yourself.

Love the rich colors and the little beach hut. So quaint!

Thanks to you all for your comments on this and the other oictures in the series.

I didn't go to North Point this time, Ed, but I have been there before. I went to Little Bay this time, which is a great place for crashing waves and blowholes and I hope to post a picture of that soon.

Little Bay...where is that David? It sounds familiar but I can't place it, to lazy to get the map out!.

Little Bay is just a little way down the east coast from North Point. There's nothing there except a barren landscape and low cliffs with the ocean breaking over flat rocks below. Very dramatic!

I love the East Coast. I like to stay at Bathsheba and chill out. It has all I need. We just visit other parts for snorkelling and a change of restaurants.
