Be The Change Retreat #2

By handlerstudio
These evergreen shrubs were also holding down the dunes Long Beach Island (it is about 20 miles long and maybe half a mile most). The other plant holding down the dunes are old roses. These cones and the other element felt worth shooting. Following a comment from me thinking about time visiting friends on Nantucket Island, about 30 miles off the coast of Massachusetts (when natives go to the mainland, they call it Going To America), the dunes are covered with poison ivy..."kills two birds with one stone..."

I think it was Portugal (Algarve) where they had machines in trucking away the dunes in an attempt to contain them. A bit of wind and the sand came in through any little crack and into the houses, especially under the door. Poison ivy is a super idea - keeps people from ignoring the signs and scrambling up them

As for todays post, a little snow and you'd have a super Christmas card.
