Beach Reprofiling

By JJGEE
Due to action of the tides the management of sea defences requires the relocation of pebbles which have built up in certain areas.

In this case they are being moved further West towards Sovereign Harbour, Eastbourne, from the village of Pevensey Bay.

I may have sat on some of those pebbles at Pevensey Bay many years ago, whilst on visits to my Grandparents who lived there.
Not much of a beach until low tide, if I recall correctly, lots of shingle, old wooden groynes, and blobs of tar, still as kid none of that mattered.
Mark you with a bucket and spade that size you could build a pretty impressive sand castle.
Neat image and helpful narrative. Cheers.
