Beach Walkers at Ayr.

By Tooma
I have often, when at the coast, tried to qualify and understand exactly why I like that length of land between the water and the sea so much. It has always been appealing to me. I am happy just to be at the waters edge, or in sight of the waters edge. It is a pleasant and satisfying place for me, and I am still not sure of the reason, and thankfully, not knowing the answer does not spoil my pleasure of being in those places where the land meets the sea. I do enjoy being out in a boat too.

These three shots were taken at the large beach in Ayr on the West coast of Scotland, where some people are obviously enjoying being in that special place too. The island in the back-ground of the first and third shots is Arran, a place I have thought of visiting many times, yet never had the pleasure. One of these days - preferably a fine one. Smile

I love the smell of the sea air. And there's usually the sound of the waves. It's a very peaceful place to be. A good set of happy people.

What they said! Not at all keen on going in to the sea but love walking beside it. Not a lot of it about in the landlocked mid-shires so we have to get the pony and trap out. Causes a hell of lot of ill feeling on the M1 southbound ... and northbound.
I fear I may be behind hand but strange things have been happening with the notifications; they've either gone into 'spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, spaaaammmmm wonderful spam!' or they haven't been appearing at all. No wonder I'm pining for the fjords.
Lovely image Tom. 👍 😀
Yours, feathers slightly ruffled, Norwegian Blue. (That's the well known parrot ... not ... oh, never mind ... 🥴 )

Living beside the sea, the beach has proved a great asset in the is present time for our daily exercise. No problem keeping our distance! In the evening news it showed two policemen on horseback patrolling the beach, but what they were supposed to be doing not sure. However, we do get a lot of wind!

So do we! 🥴 Tesco continue to sell Brussel Sprouts and it's an ill wind ... that's it ... it's an ill wind.

Can almost smell the salt air Tom , wonderful set ! A trip to Arran sounds like a top plan if only for a wee dram of their delectable single malt or a snifter of Arran gold by an open fire Smile
