Beamish Bairn

By 213hardy
Went to Beamish Museum last night for a photography event, didn't really know what to expect apart from seeing a load of togsTongue Really pleased i did, plenty to photograph as always. I found it quite interesting just watching other togs, seeing their different attitudes, and approaches.

This is first,of many probably, converted to sepia then added a touch of soft focus then a vignette, but can't help feeling one cancels out the otherTongue Still really pleased with this.

And for those who have not heard the word bairn before it simply means child, the term is mostly in use in Northern England and Scotland.

All C&Cs welcome

Thanks for looking

This is really a pleasing portrait of a bairn, Den! I like the way you treated it.

A very apt title for this quite stunning piece of portraiture Den, which in itself has that vintage aura about it. "Id miss the North East.

Brilliant capture which continually draws the eye to the the girls face. Also like that the face isn't giving a typical pose which adds interest - almost a pensive look. Well done.

A fine image, Den, I like the sepia and a good composition with the girl seated in the bottom left facing in. She's got a great expression as well.
