Beauty in miniature (5)

By Brilane
This is a close up , from above a head of Hogweed (Heracleum spondylium), that I found growing in a local meadow. Each tiny flower is about 3mm diameter. I will leave this for you to see, as tomorrow, (Saturday), I am off to Pembrokeshire for a week, where I hope to get some good land or seascapes. I will catch up with things when I return. Thankyou for all of your previous comments, and I hope you enjoy this photograph.

I think these are lovely in detail, such delicate individual flowers and they're so often ignored, a lovely capture,

As with many of the weeds we see so often, looking at them in close-up reveals beauty which we would normally overlook. Nicely presented Brian.

This is a good one. Lots of detail and a wide enough DOF so that plenty of them are sharp. Good luck getting some new landscapes.

What a misnomer to call such beauty 'a weed'. Great lighting, great presentation. Hope you got some good shots in Pembrokeshire.

Nicely taken with good exposure and DOF! I always find it more difficult to take a group of flowers and try to keep them all in focus - you have done well here.

A lovely lacy image Brian. Such tiny flowers . I haven't ever looked into the face of one !! xx

Have a great holiday.

I feel like a detective Brian. First looking through ALL my plower books to suggest the right variety and now thinking you are tall enough to look into the face of a Giant Hogweed. They are very poisonous and cause horrible rashes if touched .
