beech forests

By bliba
The natural beech forests in the Limestone Alps National Park are so exceptional because there are only a few remnants left throughout Europe - 85 % of all original red beech forests have been cut down. In the Limestone Alps National Park and the neighbouring Dürrenstein Wilderness Area, these valuable ancient beech forests and primeval beech forests were designated as Austria's first World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2017.

thanks for looking andcommenting

Looks like some nice moss growing on it, Ollie 😃 Nice textures, and good use of depth of field to isolate it 👍🏻

I like how your DOF has isolated the tree from the main forest, and also shows up the moss growing on the tree, with nice details. Good informative notes, Ollie.
