Another one from my sunday market trip. This man looked quite popular in the market and the guys who were working at the beef store insisted that i take his picture and give to newspapers .....
I got to go back this sunday with some prints cos they wondered if there was any film in the camera after all!!!
Thanks for dropping by.
Sahyadri Jee! You have got the right shot i believe, the image looks so reall, alive and documentary, i like the sharpness of the photo, the pose of the characters, i believe and have strong feeling that you have been improving day by day capturing wounderful images all the best and looking foward to see more from you.
thanks Ahmed. I am learning each day coupel more from market ( inspiration Dave Deveson .. though i know it is balsphemy to even think of getting where he is !! )
Wonderful shot, I love the depth of field where I can see what is happening in the background but the emphasis is on the man in front.
thanks Mavis.... i am so glad you noticed the man in the background..been struggling with depth factor, i guess i am finally getting there
This is very nice, the mans face is full of character. I am sure they will be pleased when they see the prints.
This is wonderful Sahyadri... the depth with background action and the relaxed attitude of your subject... full of character... well done.
Beautiful work and a superb portfolio too.
Great shot, lovely lighting,
A well-balanced double portrait; the man smiling as he works away in the background is vital to the composition. Excellent tones.
This is one of your best ones so far. Well composed. I like the figure in the background

I couldnt have asked for anything more than this!! hope you will look at Lines as well.. virginia's distant global cousin .. but not as angry and complaining.
Thank you David.
Superb documentary shot with wonderful detail and expression. Love the man in the background cutting meat.
An excellent, and very natural portrait. As others have said, the background adds a lot of interest to the picture.
Agree with everything that's been said. This is a great natural portrait and the man at the back adds depth to the image. Great piece of work.
An excellent portrait. As said many times already, the man in the background really sets the scene perfectly.
excellent expression love the work place
Really excellent. You've captured a very strong personality there. I suspect that he isn't used to having his photograph taken, he's wary. It's good that you've kept back and not invaded his space.
Well composed portraiture Rad.
Very nice capture, the main focus has my attention but there are added little elements here which hold you in even longer.
The colour works too.
A well detailed capture here.Nice one.
Reminds me of the market back home in Sri Lanka...

Superb piece of work & i love the way you always endeavor to capture emotions Amazing.....So real
This is wonderful and great candid shot, tells a story. Like the guy in the background which adds to the story of the older man. You have done well with this. I am sure the older man would love to have print of this

off red meat these days.... but the fish guys there always give me a discount !
I am really jealous of the votes that you have got for this image.
LOL.... c'mon Ahmed .. I thought you were one of my well wishers
very good eye contact, nice capture.
Something oddly attractive about this shot.
I love the man in front, he seems so tall, almost elongated, and angled, with the man behind really enjoying what hes doing.
Nice work RM
a great story-telling portrait,
Sahyadri Good Morning!
Off course i am your well wisher, i was just kidding.
Hi RM, If i am not mistaken you live somewhere in Asia ( pardon my ignorance). You are very lucky to be there where you can find a diverse choices of photography subjects. If i were you i'd stick to this (photo) sort of photography. Try looking at Koen's or Neil's work. Their work are very much respected here in epz. Thanks for visiting my pf by the way.
ps. If you really want to improve on your photography, make use of the critique gallery. Its fun to have many votes but the critiques and help you'll get from other members are priceless.
Thanks Grimm, I live in India ( i thought it was apparent!)
Koen and Hoops are two of my favs and i see each photo they upload. I learn a lot from David deveson too. there are others like Lonely oryx, woolybills, pascalg, mikbee, photocolin, sunshot .... i learn from too. i have not seen much from critique's gallery but may be you are right.
Photography is just a hobby and a huge stress buster and i am glad i "met "some very nice people who tell me where to improve.
it doesnt hurt to be sociable and its not all about votes, atleast for me.
have a great weekend!
Excellent image . Love it
