Behind The Beard.

By lifesnapper
Hi all and many thanks for your great comments and votes on my 'Backgammon' image and a special thanks to Graham for his award and to Colin for his foot removal modSmile all so very much appreciated.

Today, an early attempt from a few weeks back, at using graining in Paint Shop Pro but, maybe not the right image for it. However, I shall keep on experimenting until I'm happy enough with the results to upload them for your perusal. Wink (Not a technique that I would use too often.)

All the best to all,

John Smile

"behind the beard"......there are so much to hide! Smile
If I didn't know that Jerry Garcia had died years ago, I would have thought "Wow!" Smile

I like this very much indeed, John. Square crop perfectly done, composition spot on, all the detail you could wish for, negative space occupied by tasty blur. I think you're getting the hang of it!

a fine job for this, John
and it did ring an instant bell for the beard scene from A Stitch In Time
(sorry, couldn't find a shorter video)

Top stuff, John. The b&w treatment works very well - the added grain works with the beard in particular.
I particularly like your use of square format and the positioning of him partially within the frame.
