Behold...A pale horse

By BarryC123
In a field, about half-way up a hill behind the small but extremely photogenic town of Carlingford, Co. Louth.

I'm well aware I tend to over-saturate my colours post-production, but, and I really can't explain it, the photos I took this day all share what can only be described as a 'D40-on-steroids' effect.

This is direct from the camera, and now i'm afraid to touch the damn thing, lest I change the settings !

Of course, not to everyone's taste, and so I warn you there are a few more to follow over the next few days.

I find the colour management superb in the D40 Barry, and do admit sometimes I have to desat' some of the pics I take.I reckon I would rather have it this way, that have to saturate EVERY pic I take !! Reckon I would have given this one a touch of desaturation, but as you say,it is all a matter of personal taste !!
Good shot.

The bold colours are what attracted me to this shot, so no apologies needed. Like it.
