Beneath a Starry Sky

By AntHolloway
One from the clear evening yesterday. I was entertained by the bell ringing practice as the exposures for this image were taken!

The lowest down bright stars, Sirius and Rigel get to feature twice with their reflections in the pond.

89 x 30s exposures
ISO 1600
f/5.6

Nice work and shows lots of patience, a long time to stand and listen to bells ringing. How long after they stopped did th ebells stop in your head ?

Wow, Ant! You have really perfected those star-trail images! I guess the next step is a long-exposure one but following the earth's rotation (with a mount), and flash something in the foreground (like a tree) to have both starry sky and tree in focus.

Cheers all for your comments.

Aris - I did get the telescope out from hibernation a few weeks back, but just took some shots of the moon as either the batteries or drive are dead.
