Back Modifications (8)

Best Laid Plans.....

By keithh
The idea was sound(ish). Set up a typical Whitby scene and then get some ice cream cones and throw them up in the air and try and get the seagulls to swoop in....it nearly worked n all...I just wasn't ready for this one! Anybody who knows wide angle will know how close it came to hitting the lens!!

It's modifiable....knock yerself out.

Haha, a close call - excellent.
I like the idea of the ice cream trick - maybe get a crash helmet next time though.

Must have given the poor wee gull an awfy fright as well, thoughts of colourful language if it hit that lens !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and you had to replace it as well.

Combination of a 16-35, an ice cream and a vicious seagull moving at 40mph.....mmm...all you need is Fiona Bruce commentating, LOL! You did take the ice-cream out of the cone this time as well didn't you?

Wonderful image Keith so well captured.

Word of advise for next time, try the old chip on the head trick, works brillaintly but best to have someone spotting for you behind!!!

I know wide angle well enough to know that was pretty darned close.

I heard someone laugh at me when I tried my 15-30 on my film body in Wales recently.....

Could have been something to do with the fact that I walked straight into the bench I was planning to use in the foreground when edging forward! I'd be dangerous with a fisheye! Grin
