The photo is all jakes own work in terms of composition.

I gave him a few pointers and taught him the basics of exposure settings while we were up in Scotland, but pretty much left him to it after that.

Over the next few days I plan to get him to select, process and upload without my help, but for now I get to do the 'driving' on here.

Thanks for looking and if you can help me to persuade him to spend a little less time on his tablet and a bit more time with a camera I would appreciate it!

Now this is a beautiful photo - I love the colours and silhouette you've captured.

Regarding composition, I may have taken the horizon off center (cropping a bit off the bottom would cure that), but that is a minor point. Smile

It;s very well done.

An alternative would be to crop the botom quarter of the image for a less central composition and to make the modt of the sky, as the very bottom part of the image is quite dark and with little detail. You notice that when you clickto view large.

Of course, it's one of those scenes where various crops and compositions can be found. It's worth trying as many as you can at the time of capture.
