Taken during a reasonably sunny period between sessions of wet and windy weather recently.

Love the tones and the detail in the foreground, the clouds are great too.

I really like the interesting patterns the ears make in the fg. All the crops around here are starting to go black with mould (I guess because of all the rain) could be a bad year for arable farmers?

Back to the shot - nice one thrid balance on the horizon, good interesting sky with a bit of drama - perhaps the finest of black line borders to hold everything together?

A good looking crop of wheat, and nice clouds in the background.

Thanks to all who have commented or voted on this image. Special thanks to Sharon and Robert for coming back to look at the revision. I find it really helpful to get contructive comments and then see if applying them creates a better image.

Definitely V2 for me. just that bit more contrast make a more interesting shot. If this were mine I might have gone to selective colour and tweaked the blacks a bit and also put a vignette around the edges to hold you to the centre of the shot. That's just me though and takes nothing away from this shot.
