Big Blue Blurry Birdie

By jellylegs
Just for fun!

I was playing around with shutter speeds & got this. Just interested to know does anybody like it.

I promise I'll stop all this abstract stuff.

All comments welcome....seriously ;-p

Trevor it is a fine line between artistic interpretation and realistic representation.

I've tried a few of these in the past, but never been entirely satisfied, too much blur, too little blur.

It is really one of those type of images that if you like it that is what matters.

I would prefer to see the bird flying into frame, but other than that it is just personal taste on these ones.

I think it's a fine image Trevor, the blurier(?) and more abstract the better for me!

I like it too - would also prefer to see the bird flying into the frame - but I really like the sense of motion, the serene blue tones and the detail in the wings. *click*

Thanks. I should be flying into the frame, but I only got to swing around & snap it. I had no room unless I cropped in very tight, but I think it needs all the empty blue space to work (if work is the right word).

I suppose I could try cloning some sky in photoshop....hmmmm?

Thanks anyway.

Love it as it is! Great sense of motion and I like the composition as it is. I think the fact it looks like its leaving rather than arriving suits the blurry image more.

Works for me, there is just enough detail to see what it is.

my initial reaction was it's just another blurry bird...but actually there is enough detail in the wing tips to work. Trouble is most photo's work on that initial reaction, most people don't hang around long enough to study a shot properly.
